I never realised that a car could be gay; but, I am very open minded about this kind of thing. Of course, I will never buy a Porsche Cayman. Not now, not ever.
As an aside, I assume that the Cayman S is the model for subs.

OK I have heard that guns don't kill people do, there is no such thing as a bad dog just a bad master, but a gay car. Question begs to be asked and answered, " Are you are product of your environment or is your environment a product of you"? Gay cars?

It was meant to be humourous--an example of the problem with labels and how people jump to conclusions because of them. You see a black doctor, you think that he may not have gotten into medical school on his grades, but because of his race (it's true, you can admit it). You see a gal driving a Subaru Forester, you think lesbian.
This is one of the central themes of LotJP: That in a society so oppressed by the need to label people, we lose sight of the fact that, by our very nature, we are swimming in a sea of diversity. Even in a room filled with white folks, there is diversity, because of the different backgrounds we have.
So, the point: Labeling cars, like people, is stupid...and wrong.
Almost every woman driving a Subaru Forester is a lesbian. It is the only car with an inverted pink triangle and diversity rainbow, standard.
